Dr. Zsolt Radak – Institute of Sport Science, University of Szeged, Hungary
Dr. Zsolt Radák received his PhD from the University Tsukuba in Japan. He has received Hungary’s Bolyai Research Fellowship in Medicine and then Szechenyi professorship from the Hungarian Academy of Science. He is the DSc of Hungarian Academy of Science at the field of medicine. He is a professor and served as dean, an associate-dean of the Faculty of Physical Education and Sport Science of Semmelweis University, Budapest, Hungary. From September of 2014 he is a professor and head of the Research Institute of Sport Science, University of Physical Education. He has been a visiting professor at Toho University, Juntendo University, Waseda Univeristy in Japan, Texas University, USA, National Taiwan Sport University, Taiwan and Beijing Sport University, China. He edited the book of Free Radicals in Exercise and Aging, published by Human Kinetics, Exercise and Diseases, published by Meyer & Meyer. His new book Physiology of Physical Training was published 2018 by Academic Press. He published more than 200 papers in academic journals.
Dr. Fernando Gomez-Pinilla – Depts. of Neurosurgery, and Integrative Biology and Physiology, University of California Los Angeles, USA
Dr. Fernando Gomez-Pinilla is Professor of Physiological Science. His research goal is to investigate the molecular mechanisms of neuronal adaptation to insult, disease, and environmental factors by focusing on the action of neurotrophic factors as major effectors of neuronal growth and survival, synaptic function, ultimately resulting in behavioral manifestations. His laboratory uses a multidisciplinary approach ranging from gene expression to behavioral techniques, and involving the brain and spinal cord of animals and humans. His work is widely published, including elite publications such as Nature magazine.
Dr. Henning Budde – Medical School Hamburg, University of Applied Sciences and Medical University, Germany
Research interest of Dr. Henning Budde is the field of exercise neuroscience. He is dealing with the effects of exercise on the brain and how the brain induced movements. As a teacher he is interested how these findings can be implemented in school settings. He has published over 70 articles in peer reviewed journals. Some of these articles are communicated as “most cited articles” (e.g. in Neuroscience Letters).
Dr. Ricardo Aurino de Pinho – Programa de Pós-Graduação em Ciências da Saúde, Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Paraná, Brazil
Dr. Ricardo Pinho is currently a professor at the Pontifical Catholic University of Paraná (PUC/PR) with the Postgraduate Program in Health Sciences (PPGCS) and coordinates the Laboratory of Exercise Biochemistry in Health (BioEx). He is a member of scientific societies and a reviewer of several national and international journals. He has experience in Biochemistry and Exercise Physiology, working mainly in the following subjects: oxidative stress in muscle function and repair and in the pathophysiology of chronic degenerative diseases.
Dr. Aderbal Silva Aguiar Junior – Departamento de Ciências da Saúde, Araranguá, Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina, Brazil
Dr. Aderbal Aguiar is an assistant professor in the Department of Health Sciences/ARA/UFSC, President of the Ethics Committee on Animal Use (CEUA, 2018), and permanent advisor in PPG Neurosciences, PPG Bioquímica and PPG Rehabilitation Sciences of UFSC. He is a reviewer of several indexed journals in the area of Physical Exercise and Neurosciences (Top reviewer Publons), and as an ordinary member of the Brazilian Society of Neurosciences and Behavior (SBNeC) and Brazilian Society of Biochemistry (SBBq). Develops projects in two lines of research. 1) The neurobiology of physical exercise, such as the development of central fatigue to exercise, and the disease-modifying effects in experimental models of neurological diseases. 2) Pharmacology and genetics of sport, to explore ergogenic resources and genomic factors involved in the better development of sport shape and life.
Dr. Ricardo Dantas de Lucas – Centro de Desportos, Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina, Brazil
Dr. Ricardo D. de Lucas is Assistant Professor A of the Sport Center and permanent member of the Post-Graduation Program in Physical Education at UFSC. He has experience in Sports Sciences, with emphasis on Human Performance, working mainly in the following subjects: sports training, physiological evaluation, human performance, continuous and interval exercise. Member of the European College of Sports Sciences since 2011.

PhD Sandwich (2008) and postdoctoral (2010-2012) by Chemical & Systems Biology departments – Stanford University School of Medicine, CA-USA. Experience in the areas of Physiology and Cell Biology, with emphasis on cardiovascular and muscular-skeletal systems. Research topics: protein-protein interaction, rational design of bioactive peptides, protein quality control and mitochondrial metabolism. Member of Global Young Academy
Dr. Ricardo Mario Arida – Programa de Pós-graduação em Neurologia-Neurociências, Universidade Federal de São Paulo, Brazil
Master’s Degree in Neuroscience at Federal University of São Paulo (1995), PhD in Medicine (Neurology) at Federal University of São Paulo (1999) and Post-Doctorate at University of Oxford-UK. He is currently an Associate Professor at Federal University of São Paulo. Researcher 1C of CNPq, Vice-Coordinator of the Postgraduate Program in Neurology-Neurosciences EPM-UNIFESP (Note 6 CAPES) and Full Member of the Academy of Sciences of the State of São Paulo (ACIESP). He has experience in the areas of Neuroscience and Exercise Physiology, acting mainly in the following subjects: epilepsy, epilepsy and physical activity, central nervous system and physical exercise and brain development and physical activity.
Dr. Adriano Eduardo Lima da Silva – Programa de Pós-Graduação em Educação Física, Universidade Tecnológica Federal do Paraná, Brazil
Graduated in Physical Education, with a Master’s Degree in Human Movement Sciences at State University of Santa Catarina (2005) and a PhD in Biodynamics of Human Movement at University of São Paulo (2009). He was an Adjunct Professor at the Nutrition Faculty of the Federal University of Alagoas (UFAL), working in the Nutrition and Postgraduate courses (Master in Nutrition) from 2008 to 2013. He coordinated the Master’s Program in Nutrition at UFAL 2011- 2012 and was institutional responsible for the agreement between the Federal University of Alagoas and the University of Victoria-Australia. In 2011 he received the Australian Government’s Endeavor Research Fellowship Award, one of the most sought-after in Australia and worldwide. In 2014, he took over as Adjunct Professor III at the Federal University of Pernambuco (UFPE), working in the undergraduate (Physical Education) and Postgraduate (Master’s and Doctorate in Nutrition) courses. In 2017, he took over as Adjunct Professor IV at the Federal Technological University of Paraná (UTFPR), working in the undergraduate (Physical Education) and Post-Graduation (Master’s Degree in Physical Education) courses. Currently Associate Professor I of this same institution. He was Coordinator of the Nutrition Area at CAPES from April 2014 to August 2017. In August 2017, he took over the Nutrition Area coordination at CAPES, which he coordinated until March 2018. He has published more than 80 international publications to date, five of them in two of the most important magazines in the field of Sports Science: Medicine and Science in Sports and Exercise and Journal of Applied Physiology.
Dr. Rui Daniel Schroder Prediger – Programa de Pós-Graduação em Farmacologia, Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina, Brazil
He has Ph.D. in Pharmacy at Federal University of Santa Catarina – UFSC (2001), a Master’s degree (2002), a PhD (2005) and a postdoctoral (2006) in Pharmacology at UFSC. Postdoctoral (2011) at Neuroscience Center of the Faculty of Medicine at University of Coimbra (Portugal). He is currently a Full Professor of the Department of Pharmacology at UFSC, an Affiliate Member of the Brazilian Academy of Sciences (ABC) and Coordinator of the Graduate Program in Pharmacology at UFSC. He is a supervisor of the Postgraduate Programs in Pharmacology (Academic and Professional) and Neurosciences at UFSC. Author of 10 book chapters, 165 scientific articles published in International Periodicals. He serves as Associate Editor of the Journal of Alzheimer’s Disease and Frontiers in Pharmacology and serves as an ad hoc reviewer for more than 40 international journals. He is a scientific advisor to the Brazilian Coffee Industry Association (ABIC), Michael J. Fox Foundation and Alzheimer’s disease Association for research on Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s diseases. Has experience in the areas of Pharmacology and Neuroscience, with emphasis in Psychopharmacology, working mainly on the following topics: neurodegenerative diseases, learning processes, memory and drugs of abuse.
